The NRTL-PR thermodynamic model

The NRTL-PR model is available in ProSim thermodynamic library, therefore in most ProSim software.

Technical focus: Gas Engine

Among the unit operations available in ProSimPlus (steady state process simulation software), the Gas Engine module can represent a internal combustion engine running with fuel gas (natural gas, biogas…). This type of engine produces electricity and thermal energy recovered in heat exchangers.

Technical focus: MHX Exchanger

Among the unit operations available in ProSimPlus (steady state process simulation and optimization software), the MHX Exchanger enables to calculate the heat exchange between several cold and warm fluids with a given pinch temperature, when looking for a low pinch temperature (of a few degrees) for example.

Technical focus: "double-pipe" heat exchanger

Among the unit operations available in ProSimPlus (general steady state process simulation), the double-pipe heat exchanger module allows the user to determine the heat exchange and the pressure drop in the tube and in the annular space of a "double-pipe" heat exchanger. The calculation is made from its geometry and the characteristics of its input flows.

PPR78: New predictive equation of state for saturated hydrocarbons, aromatics and naphtenes

ProSim, the French process simulation software house, announces the integration of PPR78, a new predictive equation of state, in ProSimPlus (software for steady state simulation of industrial processes) and in Simulis Thermodynamics (software component for thermodynamic properties calculation).
