Simulis® Thermodynamics is dedicated to thermodynamic properties calculations, the cornerstone of any chemical engineering application. It allows engineers to improve the quality and the reliability of their calculations by giving them access to the ProSim's thermodynamic package, recognized as one of the most reliable and complete of the market.
It includes over 300 functions to compute all type of properties on multi-components systems like transport properties (specific heat, viscosity,...), thermodynamics (enthalpy, compressibility factor...) or phase equilibria (LV, LL, LLV, salt formation). Additionaly, Simulis® Thermodynamics is provided with a database including properties of over 1700 components.
Simulis® Thermodynamics combines an extensive set of functions with an unmatched level of interoperability and strong capacities of integration and reusability. Developed on a component oriented architecture and integrating the Microsoft® COM/DCOM middleware, Simulis® Thermodynamics can be easily plugged in any application supporting these technologies (MS Excel®, Matlab®, C++, Delphi, Fortran…). Implementing the CAPE-OPEN Thermodynamic plug and Thermodynamic socket, it can also create property packages that can be used in other simulation environments that comply with this standard. Other property packages can also be used in Simulis® Thermodynamics, therefore in your application.

| ProSim Ternary Diagram: A new free tool to draw ternary diagrams |

ProSim adds to its list of free useful tools ProSim Ternary Diagram, a simple but efficient application to plot ternary diagrams for three components mixtures.
From experimental data you will be able to represent series of points, of segments or areas, in a few mouse clicks.
Additional features allow advanced customization of the graph: surface opacity, diagram shape (triangular or rectangular), axis position, header, footer, colors, size and shape of dots...
Furthermore, ProSim Ternary Diagram allows the user to zoom on different parts of the graph and to export these diagrams in different common formats (.bmp, .gif, .jpeg...). Data can also be exported in text format.

| Reinforcing your competences with ProSim training sessions | Top |
Every year, ProSim organizes different training sessions around the major areas of process simulation. Trainees study common issues and many case studies that allow them to get acquainted to different simulation applications. These sessions are opened to anyone involved in the chemical engineering processes design and / or study. Whether you are using ProSim software or not, you will be able to strengthen your knowledge in the chosen areas and improve your performances in analysis and calculation. It is also a great opportunity to interact informally with our experts and to explore new approaches in the process modelling field.
2005 training sessions are scheduled as follow:
- - Dynamic Simulation of Batch Processes: May 19-20 or September 29-30
- - Thermodynamic approach in Process Simulation: June 8 or October 12
- - Steady-State Simulation of Continuous Processes: June 9-10 or October 13-14
Customized training sessions can also be organized, according to your specific needs.
Number of participants is limited, therefore we invite you to register as soon as possible.
