| New release of ProSimPlus: openness, ease of use, efficiency |
Top |
A new version of ProSim's steady state process simulator, ProSimPlus has been released in January 2007. Major developments were accomplished in the software to increase possible fields of application, convenience of use and exploitation of results.
In particular, this new version is marked by the integration of the software component Simulis Thermodynamics for the management of the thermodynamic systems, the CAPE-OPEN compliance, the extension of user module creation capabilities or "Scriptlets", that contribute in making the difference between an easy to use industrial tool and a software designed for some specialists.
Already chosen by many companies in engineering as well as in production, ProSimPlus is today positioned as the alternative to the packages provided by historic suppliers.

| New training sessions and 2007 calendar |
Top |
You wish to strengthen your competencies in process simulation?
Along the year, ProSim organizes several training sessions in thermodynamics, simulation or in model development. The fields covered include steady-state processes, batch chemical reactors and distillation columns, optimization of power plants, utilization and programming with Simulis software components.
The expertise we developed in CAPE-OPEN technologies enables us to propose this year a new training session in this field. The objective of this course is to introduce the main concepts of the CAPE-OPEN standard and to provide software developers with a first insight into how to implement it.
Detailed programs and dates of these training sessions as well as registration forms are available on ProSim's website: http://www.prosim.net. The number of participants is limited, therefore we invite you to register as soon as possible.

| Simulis Thermodynamics and DECHEMA's DPP now interfaced | Top |
ProSim and the DECHEMA, the german society for chemical engineering and biotechnology, have teamed up to interface seamlessly Simulis Thermodynamics (ProSim's thermodynamic server) and DPP (Data Preparation Package, a tool to analyse and regress experimental data from the DECHEMA).
This integration provides engineers with a convenient and flexible environment to make the most of the DETHERM database, the world largest factual database for raw thermo-physical property data (about 25 000 pure compounds and 100 000 mixtures covered), distributed by the DECHEMA.
