Simulation and optimization of nitric acid plants and nitrous vapors absorption
- ProSimPlus HNO3

Objectives
This level 1 training will enable participants to master the fundamental principles of simulation and optimization of nitric acid plants and nitrous vapors absorption. Trainees will study issues related to physico-chemical properties, unit operation modeling, mass-energy balances and numerical aspects.
At the end of the training, participants will have the required elements to assess the benefits of simulation and to analyse rigorously a process with a flowsheeting software. Additionally they will have a practical experience of the ProSimPlus HNO3 simulator.
Who should attend?
This training session is designed for engineers involved in design, optimization and analysis of processes and for those in charge of the efficiency of an installation running under different operating conditions.

Cost and Conditions
The cost of this training session is 990 Euros (Exc VAT) per person.
It includes the training participation, lunch, refreshments and documentation. Other travel and accommodation costs are not included.
A 290 Euros fee will be charged for cancellations within last week before session date.
The companies under MUTS Services (Maintenance, Update, Training and Support) contract can register for free (subject to availability) for level 1 training sessions that are related to software covered by their contract. The same applies to universities and public research centers as part of their contract for the use of ProSim software for teaching and / or research purposes.
As the number of participants is limited, please register at least 10 days before the training session.
ProSim reserves the right to cancel a course if there are not enough participants.
Training organization
Duration: Two consecutive days
Approach: The training course includes theoretical parts and applications exercises. A number of concrete case studies are discussed.
Hardware and software: The required hardware and software are provided by ProSim, with, in general, one computer for two trainees in order to facilitate exchanges between participants.
Software to be used: ProSimPlus HNO3
Location: ProSim's office in Labège (Toulouse); here are the directions : see Access map
Accommodation: some useful addresses here
