{"id":3644,"date":"2017-01-22T11:53:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-22T10:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.prosim.net\/scale-up-des-reacteurs-discontinus-avec-batchreactor\/"},"modified":"2023-03-13T09:50:44","modified_gmt":"2023-03-13T08:50:44","slug":"scale-up-of-batch-reactor-with-batchreactor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prosim.net\/en\/scale-up-of-batch-reactor-with-batchreactor\/","title":{"rendered":"Scale-up of batch reactor with BatchReactor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The BatchReactor software has demonstrated its usefulness for optimizing the operating conditions of discontinuous chemical reactors,<\/strong> for conducting safety studies on such reactors, while controlling temperature and pressure,\u00a0and also for\u00a0scale-up between laboratory equipment, pilot plant and the industrial unit.<br \/>\nIn order to further <strong>facilitate these scale-up phases<\/strong>, new functionalities have been added and, in particular, the possibility of performing an extrapolation calculation for a mechanically stirred tank:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Values of the characteristic variables (rotation speed, power &#8230;) as a function of the invariant retained (power density &#8230;).<\/li>\n<li>New geometry taking into account the extrapolation factor (geometric similarity).<\/li>\n<li>Extrapolation of gas supplies (surface velocity or constant vvm).<\/li>\n<li>Calculation of vortex depth (in the absence of baffles).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is also now possible to define several identical agitators on the same shaft for a given number of the available mixing devices.
