DETHERM is a group of databases of data used for the design and optimization of chemical processes, distributed by DECHEMA, the German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.

DETHERM contains a large number of pure component and mixture properties and includes the famous DDB database for vapor – liquid and liquid – liquid equilibria, in addition to other databases for information about azeotropes, excess enthalpy, viscosity…
It constitutes the most comprehensive physico-chemical data package available on the market:

  • 5.88 million data groups for approximately 48 300 pure components and 144 800 mixtures(*)
  • Over 95 % of the published data for vapor-liquid equilibrium data in the world(*)
  • Numerical value from literature but also reference information, descriptions, abstracts…

The databases are produced by different expert groups: DDBST Gmbh (DDB) FIZ-Chemie (Infotherm), Regensburg University (Eldar).
ProSim has a partnership agreement with DECHEMA for the distribution of DETHERM. For additional information on the different packages available (it is possible to purchase all or part of the DTHERM database, in particular according to the activity field), do not hesitate to contact us.

Associated Software: ORS

ORS is a database management tool. It enables the user to search for data through the databases from a large number of criteria (for example the components that have an azeotrope with the water-ethanol system), to visualize graphically the data and to export them in different formats (MS Excel, XML, IK CAPE…).
ORS also allows the user to enrich the existing databases, either on a case by case basis or by importing existing third-parties databases. (DIPPR, private databases…). Thus it allows the company to efficiently perpetuate its data and expertise.

Associated Software: DPP (Data Preparation Package)

DPP is an advanced tool for the regression of experimental data. The Data Preparation Package enables the user to identify and generate all required parameters of both pure component and mixture thermodynamic models and also to run comparisons between different models.

ProSim has a partnership agreement with the DECHEMA for the distribution of DETHERM associated software. For additional information on the different packages available, do not hesitate to CONTACT US.
